Mollusca
Mollusca is a phylum which contains organisms such as snails, slugs, octopuses, squids, clams, and so on. Mollusca is one of the largest phyla of animals, containing about 47,000 different species and organisms. All animals under the have soft body's, which are usually protected by a hard shell. Some forms, such as octopuses, have lost their hard shell because they got lost in the course of evolution. Animals in the Mollusca phyla generally have the same fundamental body plan. Common examples of Mollusca are scallops, slugs, and octopuses.
